At the Martha Asare Foundation, we believe that sustainable change begins when individuals are equipped with practical skills that transform lives and communities. Our Skill Training and Apprenticeship Program focuses on empowering young women and men through hands-on training in dressmaking, hair styling, and related creative trades.
This initiative provides participants with modern vocational training, tools, and mentorship to help them become self-reliant. Trainees are guided by experienced artisans and industry professionals who instill not only technical expertise but also business management and customer service skills.
Beyond training, the Foundation goes a step further by assisting graduates to establish their own shops or salons, providing start-up support in the form of equipment, sewing machines, dryers, and other essential materials. Selected outstanding trainees are also offered international job placement or exchange opportunities, where they gain exposure to global standards and techniques in beauty and fashion.
Through this program, the Martha Asare Foundation is nurturing a new generation of entrepreneurs who contribute to local economic growth while building confidence and purpose. Each success story is a testament to our vision of creating inclusive and resilient communities — where talent meets opportunity, and dreams are turned into sustainable livelihoods.
